What to prepare before a website redesign

A redesign checklist covering goals, content, analytics, integrations and launch readiness.

Define the commercial goal

Redesigns fail when the only goal is “look modern”. Decide whether the site must increase enquiries, bookings, store conversion or sales-qualified leads.

Inventory content and owners

List pages to keep, rewrite or retire. Assign owners for copy, photos and legal pages. Missing content is the most common launch delay.

Map tracking and integrations

Document analytics, forms, CRM, booking tools, ads pixels and email systems before rebuild. Redesign is the right moment to clean broken tracking.

Plan redirects and SEO continuity

Export top landing pages and prepare 301 redirects. Keep high-performing URLs when possible. Preserve title patterns that already rank.
