Domain and DNS migration with Duyuz — what we handle, what stays in your registrar, and how go-live works.
Yes. Duyuz routinely plans DNS and domain go-live as part of a website launch or redesign. The domain itself should preferably stay registered in your name. We help you point nameservers or A/CNAME records to the new hosting, set redirects from old URLs, and verify email DNS (MX/SPF) so mail does not break when the site moves.
What we need from you: registrar login or a temporary collaborator seat, a list of critical emails and subdomains, and a maintenance window if your old host is fragile. What we do not do: silently transfer a domain into an account you cannot access, or promise zero TTL delay — DNS propagation is physics, not marketing.
If the domain is locked, expired or held by a previous agency, we flag that in discovery. Transferring away from a hostile host can take days; the new site can still be built and reviewed on a staging URL while the transfer completes.
For care-plan clients, domain and DNS hygiene is part of ongoing support. For one-off builds, handover includes a short DNS checklist so your IT contact can reverse or update records without calling us first.
